Independent Short Film “Three Sisters”
ACTRESS FOR IRINA
We are currently in pre-production for an independent short film, Three Sisters, loosely inspired by the play by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. The project explores the personal and intimate lives of the three sisters through a contemporary lens and is created by an all-female team of artists.
We are looking for an actress to portray Irina with honesty, sensitivity, and a strong personal interpretation.
Casting details:
Woman of color
Playing age: we don’t care, we aren’t ageist
Previous acting experience is not required
We are especially interested in individuals who are passionate about theatre, performance, arts and storytelling.
Self-tape guidelines:
Introduce yourself briefly (optional). We do not need to see your hands nor your profile.
Prepare a short monologue from Three Sisters or another piece that you feel reflects Irina’s character. Poetry is welcomed.
The monologue does not need to be long
Production quality is not important. A simple, authentic tape is enough
We are not evaluating based on technical setup, appearance, or background. We don’t care about your backdrop nor your background. What matters most is your presence, your interpretation, and your connection to the material.
We welcome submissions from both experienced and first-time performers.
