About Founder

Marie Nova is a multidisciplinary artist from Russia. She is primarily known for her collage work that tackles a variety of themes, among them feminism and climate change, all through a glamorous yet ironic lens.

Marie studied art at Bishop Ridley College (Ontario, Canada) and later Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (UK). Additionally, she is a Bachelor in Marketing and Communications (Milan). After graduation she has been working as a freelance artist while consecutively discovering new mediums and themes for her art. Her work has been exhibited in Milan, Berlin, LA and NY.

Born in 1992 in Sovietskiy - a small Siberian town – Marie has always drawn inspiration from Russian culture and complex Soviet heritage. She is currently residing between Riga and Milan. In 2022, Marie founded Wander Art Space platform.

Collaborations

Marie Nova has commissioned her collages for several brands, among them: Espressoh – an Italian makeup brand and beauty blog, and Femme TV – an international collective of female ambassadors and entrepreneurs, as well as clothing brand Ganor Dominic London and Milan-based accessories brands Portarte and Manifest. Marie’s work has graced several album covers of musicians.

Wander Art Space, founded in 2022, is an omnichannel platform comprising a multitude of online media - blog, Instagram, and weekly newsletter – together with a growing offline presence. Wander Art Space organizes art-related events, performances, exhibitions of emerging artists and lectures, primarily in Milan. As a paramount objective, Wander Art Space aims to connect art aficionados with the industry and artists with collectors, but also strives to shape Milan into an invigorating, art-savvy city it possesses the potential to become.
